PETITION TO HORRY COUNTY COUNCIL AND PLANNING COMMISSION FROM

SOUTHWOOD PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION MEMBERS

September 14, 2006

The undersigned property owners residing in Southwood community respectfully request that Horry County Council rezone the neighboring Wicked Stick golf course to a Conservation-Preservation District so as to require that any future development will be subject to the same county council review as that required for rezoning requests, or failing that, to rezone Southwood and Wicked Stick golf course, in order to be consistent with the existing residential lots in Southwood, from Highway Commercial and General Residential (general residential allows higher density apartments and multi-family buildings) to R-5 (residential single-family homes only on lots of 8,712 square feet or more in size).
